I really like this Starbucks on King Street in Charleston as it is very easy and convenient to walk to from just about anywhere in on the Peninsula. I really like the vibe and atmosphere of this Starbucks as it is very relaxed and laid back, but also very professional. This Starbucks has a very cool upstairs space that is good for having a business meeting or getting some work done in a nice space that is good for everyone to get stuff done. The staff here is very friendly and efficient and works very hard to get the orders fulfilled quickly and done the right way. I have always had a really good experience going to this Starbucks and it is good to know that there is a good place to go in this part of town.

This Starbucks must have been a bank in a previous life. It appears that they use what was once the vault to store supplies like cups, lids, straw, etc.
And there is a sweet upper deck with additional seating.
The place was super busy during the 15 minutes I was there, but the staff kept the line moving quickly and efficiently!
It easy to miss. I knew where it was because I had it up in the YELP map and I still walked right past it. The entrance brings to mind what The Leaky Cauldron of Harry Potter must be like. Just easy to walk right on by.
Yes I just referred this place to Harry Potter. And no, I will not apologize. And yes, look for more well allusions in upcoming reviews. -

My friend wanted to grab some hot cocoa. The set up is the same as all other locations. On this visit, the brewing machine was down so the wait was extended.
I love how this location has a second floor. I didn't venture upstairs because I was feeling lazy. But this is definitely a bonus during peak times so patrons don't have to worry about finding a seat or being in a small, cramped space.
I absolutely love the bank vault door. I wish I wouldn't snapped a picture of it.
The baristas were friendly enough.
The restroom was clean and spacious. -

This Starbucks is right around the corner from where I live, so I frequent here a lot.
A Starbucks is a Starbucks, your standard chain pricey coffee shop (but I still love my Starbucks).
The building is an old bank, which is super cool. You can see the old bank vault in the back when you get your drink.
They're are two floors to the Starbucks, which is a unique feature and makes for more seating.
This is a good place to study and do work, as not as many college students come here to do their work so it's less busy than other spots downtown.
My only complaints are that sometimes it's not all that well maintained and be found a bit dirty, especially in the bathrooms. In addition, this can be a hot spot for homeless people to come in and hang out. Not that I have anything against homeless people, but they come up to customers a lot and ask for money. This should not be happening inside of a business.
An old bank building transitioned into a nifty Starbucks. - pretty cool -

A few weeks ago I had a mobile order and waited 20minutes for it. When I finally asked if they had it, they said yes they were backed up and would have it shortly. When I said nevermind please refund my money they said it would be a little bit because they were so busy. I tried to give them a second chance today and ordered earlier to avoid a delay. 15minutes... walk in... NO coffee again. I waited a few minutes and then asked. They didn't have it. "Someone must have picked it up accidentally". They quickly made what I ordered but were very short. I don't know if they are always understaffed due to the volume there or have some slower employees..but it';s ridiculous and I will not be frequenting this Starbucks again.
